Graduates do not receive diplomas at commencement. Diplomas are mailed to the address indicated on your Graduation Application after final grades are submitted and all encumbrances have been cleared. A link to an electronic diploma will be emailed to students following verification of degrees by the Registrar's Office. This email will ask students to verify the mailing address for the printed diploma, or provide the correct address if necessary. Students will have 72 hours after receiving the email to provide the correct address. Printed diplomas will be mailed 6-8 weeks following the official graduation date.
Your name will appear on your diploma as indicated on the application for degree. The degree and major(s) are printed on the diploma. Academic honors are indicated with gold seals. Students who have multiple majors receive one diploma listing all majors.
Transcripts with final grades and degree information are reviewed in alphabetical order after final grades are posted. Each graduate is reviewed individually, and the graduation hold is removed once the degree has been awarded. Once the degree is finalized, transcripts that have been requested and indicated to “hold for final degree” are mailed. This process usually takes one to two weeks.
